FCM-20K profile turnout grinding machine first release

The first FCM-20K profiling turnout grinding vehicle drove out of the China Railway Construction Equipment Factory with the tractor. It will go to the Baotou Engineering Machinery Section of the State Energy Group Railway Equipment Company to grind and maintain the rails in the turnout area.

This is the first full-range profiling turnout grinding vehicle in China. It is one of the fruits of China Railway Construction Equipment's adherence to the innovation model of "independent innovation and collective wisdom research". This vehicle has broken through the bottleneck of existing turnout grinding technology and will provide a new solution for turnout grinding.


Full range turnout grinding operations

Existing turnout grinding vehicles use end-face grinding methods in special areas such as guard rails, tip rails, and fork centers. Manual and small machines are required to perform auxiliary grinding in restricted areas, which is labor-intensive, difficult to control the grinding quality, and has poor operating safety.

Relying on rich experience in the research and development of rail milling and grinding equipment, China Railway Construction Equipment closely cooperates with the operation unit to focus on the pain points of turnout grinding construction and the technical difficulties of full coverage grinding

After sufficient theoretical research and experimental demonstration, the three-dimensional profiling grinding concept was adopted to break through the bottleneck of active contour grinding technology, realize full coverage of mechanized grinding of turnouts, and take into account the grinding and maintenance of mainline rails.


Active contour grinding

The grinding trolley is adaptive to the track gauge change curve and the switch grinding positioning. It has good adaptability. The grinding response is fast and the control accuracy is high. The operating speed range (2~16km/h) has strong adaptability. The operation quality and efficiency are high. The dust collection port matches the spark ejection direction in real time. The grinding powder collection is accurate and efficient. Sparks are ejected along the rail direction, effectively preventing and controlling fire hazards.


Eliminate rail surface defects and repair rail profiles

At present, the profile turnout grinding vehicle has passed various type tests to verify that its functions and performance meet the design index requirements.
